The S790, with its extensive fault finding capability that is reliable, repeatable and accurate, provides maximum fault coverage through multiple test strategies. Its high and consistent data rates ensure more thorough testing of a device to find more faults.
Extensive test programming services are available with S790 to provide a ready-to-use turnkey solution, or to remove peaks in your workflow. It tests all types of device technology using advanced pin electronics, with testing of a circuit to a known specification, guaranteeing the performance. Fault finding at full test speed not only detects a fault but correctly identifies the cause as well. Analyst expert system ensures all diagnostic tools, algorithms and results are fully coordinated across multiple test strategies to give accurate and repeatable fault identification.
S790 has an extensive library of device functional test routines including Western and Russian devices, and it easily integrates with instrumentation for extended analog functional testing. Test methods include in-circuit, functional edge, boundary scan, cluster, analog, mixed signal, Analog signature (VI), CPU assisted, fixtureless and Bed-of-Nails. All test methods are integrated in a single graphical Test Plan for ease of maintenance.
With the S790, high data rates ensure the circuit is exercised fully and maximum fault coverage is obtained. It has up to 3840 FlexPins and 960 Universal digital dynamic test channels, and up to 40 MHz data rate. It conforms to the Defence Standard 00-53 for the safe test of any device and includes user programmable Protector Tables for custom designed devices. Instrument Strategizer allows graphic programming of external integrated instruments, and includes synchronised mixed signal testing for proving hybrid circuits.
Extensive and proven algorithms for efficient diagnostic probing remove the possibility of operator errors. A unique Validator software runs in the background to ensure correct programming conditions and hardware setup preventing damage to the test system, and also ensuring real-life test conditions are used.
Other features include a comprehensive Automatic Program generator for in-circuit testing and a boundary scan solution that includes serialisation of parallel test vectors to serial test vectors allowing the easy programming of virtual clusters. S790 is the only system that is backwards compatible with S700 and S7700 test programs providing a no-risk and rapid migration of legacy programs.
S790 supports industry standard Logic Simulators. It has a graphical and intuitive user interface with password protected access for various account privileges. Full training and support is provided to ensure rapid learning curves.
